  My mom is giving her old phone to me so I went to the Verizon store for them to transfer my contacts from my old phone to the new one. The store instructed us to transfer them ourselves. I get how it's supposed to be really easy but I'm not very tech savvy and I wish they had just helped us at the store instead of being told to go home. I know they want to focus on people who have recently bought merchandise, but it would be nice if customer service wasn't only propelled by sales.

  My husband's phone unexpectedly died on a Friday evening and he went to this Verizon and they helped him right away. They jumped on the phone with technical support and had a new phone on the way to him that day. Because there was no water or physical damage, they issued him a new phone for free because the hardware died (we do pay for a replacement warranty). We received the brand new phone Monday morning before 10 am and we even have a prepaid box to ship the old one back. Whole experience took less than 30 minutes and we only paid $15.00 for shipping costs. So even though the situation was not ideal, these folks were easy to work with and helped us tremendously.
